Playa del Carmen is the perfect starting point on the Riviera Maya. Once a fishing village, the city now offers a wide range of leisure activities and a vibrant nightlife on Quinta Avenida. Relaxation awaits on the fine sandy beach with a view of the Caribbean Sea.

Cancún

Cancún is the ultimate party mecca and a collection of dreamlike beaches. The turquoise blue waters and powdery white sand make it hard to leave. Diving sites and water sports provide adrenaline during your holiday in Cancún.

Tulum

Tulum is home to one of the largest Mayan ruins in eastern Mexico. In the Sian Ka'an National Park, you can swim with dolphins and turtles, as well as thousands of other animal and plant species. Tulum also has beautiful beaches for swimming, snorkelling, and diving.

Cozumel

A 45-minute ferry ride from Playa del Carmen takes you to the enchanting island of Cozumel. Expect coral reefs, diving, and snorkelling. After a day on the beach, enjoy tacos and other Mexican delicacies. For a fast-paced experience, visit the Adventure Park or book a jeep tour.

When Is The Best Time To Go To Mexico

In Mexico, temperatures are usually between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius all year round. The dry season between November and April is a good time to visit Mexico. Between May and October, you can expect heavy rainfall. Most of the strongest storms occur between August and October. Mexico has different climate zones, so it's best to find out about the specific climatic conditions of your chosen holiday destination before you travel.

What Can I Do In Mexico?

From sightseeing to beach activities: Mexico is a diverse country with impressive sights and entertaining activities. Here are four recommendations for your holiday in Mexico:

Visit the Mayan Ruins of Chichén Itzá

The fascinating culture of the Maya continues to captivate people to this day. The archaeological site of Chichén Itzá is one of the most popular ruins in Mexico. The step pyramid El Castillo is the highlight. Climbing it is forbidden, but the sight of the Mayan calendar is still worth a visit.

Take a catamaran tour of Isla Mujeres

Stunning sunsets, heavenly beaches and unspoilt nature. Just 15 minutes by boat from Cancún, Isla Mujeres is the perfect place to relax. Soak up the Mexican sun on a catamaran cruise. Some tour operators include a snorkelling stop at the El Meco coral reef.

Snorkelling in a Cenote

Cenote comes from the Mayan word 'dz'onot' which means 'cave with water'. It is a limestone hole filled with fresh water. Cenotes in Mexico have crystal clear water. Interesting rock formations and abundant flora and fauna make snorkelling here unique.

Hot air balloon ride over Teotihuacán

A hot air balloon ride is an unforgettable experience on its own. But when you add in the bird's eye view of the Sun and Moon Pyramids at the ancient site of Teotihuacán, it becomes truly magical. Located just 46 miles from Mexico City, this adventure lets you float above the clouds.

Party And Relaxation Mexico Best Beaches

From tranquil havens to lively party spots, Mexico boasts a variety of beaches to suit every preference. What they all share is an undeniable beauty.

Palancar, Cozumel

If you're looking for a tranquil spot perfect for snorkelling, look no further than Playa Palancar on Cozumel! The coral reefs offer a glimpse into the underwater world, while you can find several restaurants and shops along the beach selling food and souvenirs.

Mamitas Beach, Playa del Carmen

If you're in the mood for a beach party, Mamitas Beach in the centre of Playa del Carmen is the place to be! DJs perform in the beach clubs, keeping the party atmosphere going around the clock.

Playa Delfines in Cancún

Playa Delfines in Cancún is an absolute must-visit! It's a favourite among tourists and locals alike, and with good reason. It's the most popular beach in Cancún, known for its fine sand and clean water. Unlike many beaches, Playa Delfines isn't dominated by hotels, making it a rare find.
